Title:
Monster Cage Assembly for 22′ Cage
Description:
Trascription:
okay we’re going to show you how to set
up your your cage here back you’re in
the shop now we just got the poles
standing up in random order and you’ll
see how to connect everything I want to
kind of go over first to show you all of
your poles are the same except for two
of them two of them have a channel
welded on the inside and after opposite
of each other so if you’re if you think
of a hexagon as a rectangle with two
wide sides those are the two wide sides
that’s it yours is multi-level two
levels you have the same channel set up
at the bottom as you do its top your
floor is 36 inches and then it will also
be actually I think with your padding
and boards about 14 inches chef’s six
poles and you have a center pole you
have a tall one for your 36 inch height
and you have a short one here we’ve
already set it up in the lower area to
know that everything works one of your
poles has some at the bottom channel has
a couple of loops welded on it show you
what that’s for in a little bit but your
next step is to start putting it
together and the way to start is with
the side rails now you obviously have
six side rails at the end of the side
rails you have legs welded on them and
they’ll drop right down into the channel
now what I always like to start with is
what I refer to as the flat side it’s
really easy to figure out what you
switch because you have channel welded
straight and they have the little short
legs
welded on to them that just dropped
right in there now once you get that
established in there you can start work
your way out with some angled sides you
have two sides just like this that are
flapped again they have this this little
leg will actually set on the floor when
you put it in the low position that
channel and you’ll see all your all of
your cross members hook in just like
these do with a leg so start here and
then work your way out so the next one
we put in will be an angled side and it
will run out twenty year long connectors
here and the reasons are called I and I
refer to as angle sides because of this
right here you have some two by six
welded on at an angle to give you these
now you’ll see as they’re setting this
up you’ve got to move your poles to get
them correctly this comes out watch them
drop this in here pretty simple but you
see these point towards the center of
the ring that way you know you’re
correct
and there’s one that’s almost at the end
and it goes up next the corner pole
there’s three on each one of these so
now you can either go the next one you
can come to this side or you can come to
this side it’ll be one just like that to
work your way around if you were setting
this up on the lower position it’s the
very same thing drop it right in the
channel no bolts or pins all right
they’re going to put this one in and
again
it’s identical but you notice the
channel here is pointing or dissenter
they’ll actually be pointing towards
each others what they’re really doing
and that just drops right in so we have
half of your hexagon up three more sides
to go but if I can get back here you
will see that these three angled sides
are the pieces of angle side points
towards each other in the middle of the
Ring
all right she’s dropping this side in
kind of pulling the poles towards each
other just to get them in place and that
drops right in after we get all of them
together use your four main cross
members on we’ll show you how to square
it up
hexagonal e so you know that you have it
correct now we’ll tell you that every
time you move it and set it up and down
and while it’s being shipped and
everything else just scratch the paint
you’ll knock something off it’s painted
with the enamel base paint you touch it
up touch it up with enamel not water
base of enamel paint this is an
industrial gloss black it’s not
rust-oleum but rust-oleum I think we’ll
match it up exactly so you can buy you
some rust-oleum paint to touch up
anything you scratch v at one end and
you’ll bring the pole over here like say
if you’re putting this down on the lower
level like you’re making your Jim it’s
the very same thing except you’re down
lower
you can sort of eyeball here as you go
along but we’ll show you how to get it
exactly square in a second now you can
see we have one side left to put on but
before we put it on we’re going to do
something that’s a little bit of an
energy saver so we don’t have to lift up
crossmembers over the side rails and
they don’t put the the inside pieces on
and there’s four four main cross members
two of them don’t have any channel
welded on them and they go here
connecting to the flat side and out to
the center and again this is the center
pole you use when you’re using the 36
inch floor you would be using the small
one over there you were doing the low
side
now there’s two longer cross members
they go out to these outside poles
and they actually have channel welded on
them that coincide with the channel on
the flap the channel on your angle sides
and they have an arrow well welded right
on them to show you that this is the
side that goes here in the center of the
Ring it’s that way you can’t go wrong
now you can see that we’re way off and
actually this side over here just be
pulled in see these have channel welded
on both sides and they coincide with the
channel welded here channel welded their
channels here channel it’s on your flat
sides your cross members will pin into
that a little bit so they’ll bring the
other one in and that way these three
are out of the way and then we can go
ahead and put the last side rail on and
the last middle cross member that just
makes it a little easier as far as
having to lift these up over inside the
ring you can do it any way you want to
these are identical and they have the
arrow welded on them showing you that
that goes in the center so now they’ll
put the last side rail on and we’ll
proceed from there
okay the last one always requires you to
move poles will
with more so line up in and it will put
the final main crossmember in and we’ll
kind of eyeball it straight and then
we’ll measure it and show you how to get
it straight its square
if square is the proper word for a
hexagon you see it’s not truly sitting
square at the moment but it goes
together very quickly
okay so there’s all four of your main
load-bearing cross members and all six
of your sides and all six year poles now
you can look here and see if that’s not
actually straight so they’ll push a
little bit around that’s pretty straight
there might be too much there you go and
he’ll look from the other side now what
we’ll do is show you how to do it with
the tape measure you could go ahead and
start attaching your cross members but
if you did and then had to push this
around it’s a lot heavier then try and
just get it to look straight and then
we’ll square it up and the way squared
up is measured diagonally from pole to
pole if you consider these four as a
rectangle measure across diagonally just
like you’re doing and all the poles are
the same it’s the same distance there as
it is between these two poles these two
poles if you measure across from this
pole to that pole
that’ll just about give you the rights
square measurement if it’s pushed up
tight so that was 270 seven and a half
and give or take with the polls not
settings perfectly straight in here
we’re 280 on this one so where he’s got
to move it just a little
try to come back to that measure dot
Eggman then you’re pushing it in and
when you push one in in and get the
other ones out you got to be careful
277 very close at the moment and we’ll
the measure the other two poles
diagonally 276 which needs to pull it
out just a touch if your floor is not
level which you’re going to protect your
floor anyway probably put a pad under it
the floor is not level your poles don’t
set straight up and down either so you
got to take that into consideration when
you’re measuring so he’s within 1/8 of
an inch there I’m go back and measure
here okay he’s got it within an eighth
of an inch all the way around so that’s
good once the cross members start going
in it’ll hold it up straight so the next
thing to do now that you have it square
is to start adding cross members now you
have four that will be on this side that
are the same four on that side of your
same length the longest one’s eight
total to an exception then they
progressively work their way down in
size so they’ll only go in one spot so
that’s not very hard to figure out where
they go
drops right in same both ends drop right
in the channel those are the loans so
we’ll go ahead and put them all in like
say they’re the long ones
one two three four words other side one
two three forces eight of those and
there’s as you come down they’re shorter
see if four of everything else so they
match up in size so you can’t really go
wrong it’ll only fit in one place the
next step is to go ahead and put those
on all right you can see we’re putting
these on working her way out the outside
but you watch another one go in here
it’s really very simple they only go and
the place they fit now when you’re see
when you’re just like this where it’s
almost going in there but not quite
there you go lean out on your pole and
it drops right in
we’re almost done with sidewalk I mean
crossmember and then all your steel be
done and you can see here that the short
ones will only go here so it’s not like
you can get them in the wrong spot they
are generic
they’ll inside they’re not numbered or
anything they don’t have to be numbered
putting those in so that leaves four
small ones two on the side and two on
that side they’re coming in now when
they’re on then the steel portion of
your ring is finished okay so there’s
the last one in all these are in now so
the next thing you do is put on your
wood I’ll show that to you okay now the
only before I go any further we’re
building this you’re going to use long
planks in the middle here on this beam
we’re going to have we’re going extend
it out I meet some flat steel welded on
either side of it so your planks won’t
slide off so this middle beam will have
some it will be wider when you get it
than it is here in the video and your
planks will run across your cross
members out to the edge so just run them
out and cut them off
you’ll need some that are 12 feet long
to come out to here
a few of them then you’ll need some that
are only eight feet long and you’ll need
some of course just get them eight feet
long and run them out here scribe it off
and cut them off right here from the
middle to the outside your only one two
three four five little over six feet
about six feet so eight footers up to a
point and then you’ll need some 10
footers and some twelve footers they’ll
all be the same you’ll have whatever you
do in this section you’ll do in the
other section now meet right dad in the
middle after that you put
adding on your padding’s some of that
fits rolled up over here you’ll roll it
out put it in place and you put your mat
cover on your mat covers a big heavy
vinyl mat cover put it on don’t do
anything to it yet just put it out there
you have a cable here that has a
turnbuckle on one end and a screw pin
shackle on the other and that’s what
connects to these extra loops are welded
onto the bottom one of your wrinkles you
run that all the way around your ring
we’re not going to put it on here or
that gives you stability to the bottom
of the ring and that’s what you tie your
mat cover down to you lace it down and
we’ll give you the lacing rope to do
that with and of course when you’re down
in the low position as we discussed you
just gonna have to fold your mat now
your apron up but you’ll still have this
on so lay your mat cover out and then go
ahead and put this cable around open up
your turnbuckle all the way and hook it
run it all the way around the outside of
the ring and connect it here
the other side with your screw pin
shackles don’t tighten it until after
you hang your cage panels once your cage
panels are up then you’ll tighten this
so once you get to this point put your
long planks on I suggest using two by
twelves it’d be quicker setup and be
stronger meet in the middle run out in
the middle and run out we actually made
this just it’s about three or four
inches bigger than 20 feet this way just
give you a little extra room put your
your wood on put your padding on put
your mat cover on it don’t tie it down
yet
then when your cable around don’t
tighten the turnbuckle open it up all
the way once you have that then it’s
time to hang your fence panel
now your fence goes on just like your
side rail very top when you’re setting
it up high and for this one when you’re
setting it down low
the fence has legs welded on it you’ll
see how it all goes together now
remember that bolts go to the outside we
have them padded what you’ll have to do
is put your vinyl on it has grommets in
it you put it on put on zip ties I don’t
want you to see the first one’s always
the most difficult cuz you’ve got to
position your poles so they get started
and then it drops in here behind that
channel where the side rail is so get
one side started and then position the
pole for the other one and you usually
have to take it to the inside of the
ring and bring it out because of the
angle it’s cut and then it drops in both
sides very simple so if you were putting
this up in your gem and using the lower
level your side rail is in this bottom
one and the top of your fence panel is
in that one but the bottom of the fence
still goes on the side rail
now the reason there’s a gap here right
now because you’ll have wood on it and
padding and you’ll have since you’re
going to use planks your plants will
come up under that and your padding will
just come to the inside of it that won’t
hang over so you have to start from the
inside of the ring it’s hard to do
without somebody being up in there
see how easy that’s drop in that fell
right in
and they’ll all do that we’ll put
another one on just to show you the song
is black padding semester a it’s a very
same stuff but you have two panels that
have cage doors and put them anywhere
and you’ll have two sets of steps and
the steps just set up right on the on
the side of your your side rail at the
door opening and nice and heavy it’s
real simple to see okay so there’s three
of them dropped right in
and you can see how that fits up and
they all go in the very same way now
once they’re on like say and you put
your your doors wherever you want to but
opposite of each other I’m sure and your
your steps will set right on the floor
and set right on the floor you’re in
nice and heavy so they’re not going
anywhere
now you will have to of course cut your
wood and you’ll have to put your your
vinyl covers over these before you put
them on it’ll just come up over here and
then they have grommets in them you have
to zip tie through your grommets will
send you the zip ties but again make
sure you’re you’re both the outside then
there’s corner pads go in every corner I
think yours are all black
they’ve velcro on kro here comes off
goes on once your cage panels are up
it’s time to tie your mat cover down
nice and tight use the the rope and we
give you after your cage panels are up
come back to your table here and tighten
up that turnbuckle underneath when you
tighten it it’ll actually kind of pull
the poles a little bit that’s why you
have to wait till all your cage panels
are in tighten up this turnbuckle really
tight then stretch your mat cover out
with no lumps or wrinkles nice and tight
and lace it down with the rope once you
get that lace down you’re just about
done and you’ll set your your stairs up
each doorway and get your corner pads on
you’ll be ready to go it’s not very hard
take your time the first time or two and
you won’t have any problems
of course if you have any questions all
you have to do is just give me a call or
got me an email and be happy to answer
them I appreciate your patience thank
you very much and good luck
