What is a memorable moment for you at Elite MMA? There are so many, but probably when I received my blue belt. I trained hard almost everyday for a year, and did very well on my test, and the belt was a complete surprise. I believe Eric and Hai happened to have an extra blue belt on hand, and I was awarded that one.
In your own words why do you enjoy Elite MMA? I have met so many great people while training at Elite MMA. I also get to work on my life skills. On the top of this skill list is communication and conflict resolution. If you can communicate and keep hold of your emotions in a fight, then you can handle anything.
Do you have any martial arts accomplishments that you are proud of and why? I am proud of seeing people that I train with progress not only in Jiu Jitsu, but with their professional, and private lives.
Are there any professional accomplishments that you are proud of and why? My present job in the medical device field. It is a demanding job, but full of learning opportunities.
Any sports/activities that you participated in that you are proud of? I started playing soccer at the age of 6, and played through high school. I also have participated in the MS150 bike tour several years in a row.
What hobbies do you enjoy and why? I enjoy spending time with my wife, jiu jitsu, and reading.
Any memorable family moments that you would like to share? My wedding, and life afterwards 🙂
Academic accomplishments: Graduated from the University of Houston, and excelled in several certification exams in the medical field.
If you could walk us through a day or week in your life what would it consist of? A day of rewarding uncertainty, that usually ends at home in my bed.
